ORCAS

Orcas are the largest dolphins, highly intelligent and social apex predators. In Norwegian waters, they follow herring shoals into the fjords, showcasing their distinctive black and white markings and complex cooperative hunting.

HUMPBACKs & FINs

Humpback whales are known for their acrobatic breaches and exceptionally long pectoral fins. They undertake epic migrations, gathering in Norwegian waters during winter to feed on schooling fish, often using unique bubble-net feeding techniques.

HARBOUR PORPOISEs

The harbour porpoise is one of the smallest cetaceans in Norwegian coastal waters, often seen alone or in small groups. These shy creatures have a stout body and a small dorsal fin, making frequent short dives to hunt small fish.
